Future Prospects of Global Laboratory Proficiency Testing Market

Acrylic Fibers Market |
Acrylic fibers are made from polyacrylonitrile, a polymer,
and a comonomer, which is a monomer that reacts with another monomer to form a
copolymer. The fiber is highly resistant to UV degradation and mould,
microorganisms, and mildew damage. These fiber' mechanical properties allow
them to develop bulk and resiliency similar to natural wool. Acrylic fibers are
frequently used as a cost-effective alternative to cashmere wool and are widely
used in the production of a wide range of products such as socks, sweaters, and
home furnishings due to their ability to retain warmth and offer a wool-like
feel and attributes. The mixing and blending of various acrylic polymers prior
to the creation of fibres results in materials with specifically engineered
properties. The incorporation of functional additives in acrylic fibers used in
clothing material improves comfort and increases aesthetic appeal.
Our acrylic fiber is a synthetic fiber with properties
similar to wool. Acrylic fibers are created by spinning acrylonitrile
copolymers that contain at least 85% acrylonitrile monomer. The polymer is
dissolved in a solvent and extruded through spinnerets to produce continuous
filaments. The continuous filaments are then washed and dried.
Many industries experienced turmoil during the COVID-19
pandemic, and the acrylic
fibers market was no exception. Many governments around the world
imposed lockdown regulations, bringing factories and production facilities in a
variety of industries to a halt. As many businesses followed lockdown
protocols, the supply chain was severely disrupted. Global fiber production
volume decreased from 111 million metric tonnes in FY 2019 to 109 million
metric tonnes in FY 2020, according to Textile Exchange. This accounts for a
1.8 percent decrease in fiber production, including synthetic fibers such as
acrylic fiber. This was also the first decrease in growing fiber demand in the
last two decades. However, the situation is improving as the global population
is being vaccinated and governments around the world are relaxing lockdown
protocols. As a result, the acrylic fiber industry is expected to grow between
2019 and 2027.
